We'll bike along the convenient route of the first railroads from the edge of Pennsylvania to the US capitol. We'll see the rushing rivers of the Appalachians and ride through the mountains on historic tunnels and bridges no longer traveled by steam locomotives. We'll visit the place where the idea of the United States was born, and on the bike trail we'll encounter charming old railroad stations and towns where the ghosts of the Coal and Steel Age still wander the streets.
